What Support Does LFI Already Have?

Who already stands behind a group is an important indicator of the organizations promise. We are recipients of Google’s Ad Grant.  This grant provides up to $10,000 a month in advertising on Google. The company founders and Ultimate SEO continue to make monthly donations, covering costs such as web hosting, filing fees and program costs. We’re an approved Techsoup.org nonprofit eligible for tech discounts from companies like Microsoft, Dell, HP and more.

Or How Do I Know Donations Are Spent Wisely?

We’ve taken some pretty big transparency steps.

  1. Compensation Policy, Conflict Of Interest Policy, Whistleblower Policy
  2. No Reimbursements
  3. Large Purchases
  4. Google Groups
  5. Membership and Annual Meeting Reports

First, our Compensation Policy defines who can receive a salary and what limits exist.  LFI Board Members, Officers and Volunteers are non paid positions.  Additional policies to be aware of include our Conflict of Interest Policy and Whistleblower Policy.

Secondly, we don’t allow reimbursements, all corporate expenses must be made on LFI accounts directly.  These are defined in our Accounting Procedures.

Third, all purchases over $1000 must be announced on this site.

Fourth, you can give to specific funds, those funds include a Google Group that will be alerted to financial activity if you want to that information.  Visit Groups.Leffler.Foundation to see different groups you can join.

Fifth and the most important, if you give more than a hundred dollars in a year you become a member and can attend the annual meeting where officers and board members report on the last years finances and progress towards our charitable mission.  As a member you also receive at least one vote in any member decisions including the election of the next years board members.  To learn more read Membership Levels Announced

LGBTQ

Anyone can be in need, and our programs are available to anyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. LGBTQ persons make up a disproportionately large percentage of youth homelessness and face greater challenges than their counterparts. Many organizations addressing homelessness are religious based, a historically unsupportive area of society.
